Bobby LaRon is a seasoned facilities management professional with nearly 15 years of industry experience. Currently, he serves as a Senior Commercial Property Manager for CBRE, on the Providence account. In this role, Bobby oversees all aspects of a complex portfolio of healthcare facilities, including off-site surgery centers, medical office buildings, and urgent care locations. He ensures the delivery of CBRE's full suite of services, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction across a large and dispersed Western Oregon facilities portfolio.
Bobby began his career in facilities management in an unconventional way, transitioning from military broadcast journalism and public affairs. He initially worked as the Director of Facilities and Administrative Services for a regional public media organization, where he spent a decade. This experience provided him with a well-rounded perspective of the owner/occupier side of the FM business.
Now serving a client via the Integrated Facilities Management model, Bobby plays a crucial role in managing Providence’s ambulatory sites in Oregon. His strategic direction ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, maintenance of sterile and safe environments, and optimization of the patient experience.
Bobby holds a Master of Science in Management. He earned his Facility Management Professional (FMP) credential in 2020 and his Certified Facility Manager (CFM) credential in 2024, demonstrating his commitment to ongoing FM education.
Bobby’s involvement in IFMA has been a cornerstone of his professional life and throughout his career, Bobby has held various leadership roles within IFMA, including Chapter President (2017-18), Americas Advisory Board Chair (2022-23), Chapter Champion (2023-Present), and numerous committee roles. He views facilities management as a resilient and essential profession, where both preventive maintenance of capital assets and the cultural alignment of physical spaces depend on an engaged FM.
