IFMA Supports Africa FM in Offering New African Survey

Jun 03, 2021

EMEA IFMA

IFMA, along with IFMA EMEA, is pleased to support the African FM community whose purpose is to promote acceptance and grow the FM industry as a major contributor to the Africa economy through development of competent and qualified professionals, collaboration among practitioners and development of standard for Africa.

Following documentation of all current FM training programs available for FMs in Africa, including degrees, professional certification and more, the Africa FM community has begun work to develop a gap analysis on areas of education and development for FMs in Africa. To accomplish this important analysis work, a survey was released on June 1, 2021, to FM practitioners in Africa through various associations such as IFMA, RICS, EuroFM, and national FM bodies in Africa including APFMN.

The goal of this survey is to identify the gap in skills and training within the existing and future African FM community.

We look forward to sharing the results of the survey through a presentation by July 2021 with the respondents and the FM community.
