Building Potential (formerly Northwest Energy Efficiency Council/NEEC) is a nonprofit whose mission is to eliminate carbon emissions from building energy use through market-based thought leadership, education, and advocacy. Building Potential is the national administrator of the Building Operator Certification (BOC®) program, a competency-based training and credentialing program that teaches participants how to make buildings more efficient, healthy, and comfortable by making its systems work better together. Program participants provide energy and resource savings to building owners and organizations and elevate their careers with industry recognized credentials. Building Potential also partners with the Smart Buildings Center to accelerate the adoption and commercialization of smart buildings technologies and practices. Together, this work drives us towards a world with net-zero carbon emissions.
